Dr. Sumana Gurunath is currently the Senior Fertility Consultant at Cloudnine Fertility based in Bangalore at Malleshwaram since its inception in 2011. She specializes in infertility and In-vitro fertilization (IVF) and has more than 2 decades of experience in this field.

Dr. Sumana has had an illustrious academic career having trained in the premier institutes in the country and abroad.  She is an alumna of Bangalore Medical College. She completed her Postgraduation in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the renowned Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical education and Research (JIPMER), in Pondicherry.  She then pursued her specialty training in the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi where she spent 8 years. She received her training in infertility & IVF from AIIMS. She was awarded the Commonwealth Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine from the University of Aberdeen, UK where she received advanced training in IVF. Before joining Cloudnine, she had worked as a Fertility consultant at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research for a year.

Her special interests are infertility, assisted reproduction and hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery. She is passionate about pursuing evidence-based medicine and providing ethical and quality healthcare.  She has a keen interest in academics and research and has many research publications to her credit in reputed international journals.
